Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A chopper soaring over a crowded California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, eventually losing altitude and crashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Videos posted online depict the helicopter starting to spin over Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the coast, where it becomes wedged amidst palm groves and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters said five persons were taken to hospital including two who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on the weekend.
Three persons on the street were injured. Details on their wounds were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.

Officials said the chopper was associated with an yearly “Cars with Copters” benefit occasion planned for Sunday.
